A Black Sea resort village on Bulgaria's coast with a café and restaurant scene that outpunches its size, set in wine country with mountain views inland and the UNESCO-listed town of Nesebar nearby. Known in antiquity as Naulochos to the Thracians and Greeks, Templum Iovis under the Romans, and Gözeken under the Ottomans, it took its current name in 1936 and sits within Nesebar Municipality in Burgas Province.
