Orizaba · Mexico
This Pueblo Mágico city in Veracruz, Orizaba sits along rivers and parks in the highland mountains between Mexico City and the port of Veracruz, with a walkable centre full of cafés and churches dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries. A cable car opened in 2014 adds access to scenic viewpoints above the city. Known historically as "La Mánchester Veracruzana" for its industrial rise, Orizaba also carries a Nahuatl name meaning "place of joyful waters" and was designated a Pueblo Mágico in 2015.
