Otoka
Bosnia & Herzegovina
Compact town on the River Una in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Otoka spans both banks of the river and encompasses 24 islets — a geography that gave the settlement its original name, Otok, the local word for island. The two banks are linked by a steel bridge built in 1920. Set in mountain terrain in Una-Sana Canton, the town lies on an ancient Roman road that once connected the Danube region to the Adriatic.
