Founded in 1757 as the historical capital of the Mossi Kingdom of Yatenga, Ouahigouya is a city in northern Burkina Faso and the administrative centre of the Yatenga province. The city has a walkable centre with a café and restaurant scene, and the wider region holds UNESCO World Heritage sites.
