Parrita

A tiny Pacific-coast town in Costa Rica's Central Pacific region, Parrita sits on the water with mountains visible inland. Founded in 1971, it is one of only three cantons in the country made up of a single district, giving it an unusually compact administrative identity within Puntarenas province.
