Paz

A compact hilltop hamlet in inland Istria, Croatia, Paz is known for its ruined castle, first recorded in the 12th century and later held by the Barbo family, who shaped the surrounding area for generations. The Barbo presence left a cluster of related structures nearby, including a tower built in 1529 and a manor house constructed after 1618. The wider Istrian region holds several UNESCO World Heritage sites.
