Coastal town in western Thailand where the country narrows to just a short distance from the Myanmar border, Prachuap Khiri Khan sits between the Gulf of Thailand and the Tenasserim Hills. Beaches, islands, and forested mountains are all within reach, and the surrounding province supports large pineapple and coconut industries. The town lies roughly midway between Hua Hin to the north and Chumphon to the south, and draws mainly Thai tourists.
