Prusac

Each June, Prusac hosts the largest Muslim gathering in Europe at the holy site of Ajvatovica, drawing thousands of Bosniaks to this village in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Central Bosnia Canton. One of the oldest settlements in the Skopaljska valley, it sits along the upper Vrbas river near Donji Vakuf and was known as Akhisar — White Castle in Turkish — during the Ottoman period.
