Puyang

This large city on the northern bank of the Yellow River in northeastern Henan, Puyang sits at the junction of Henan, Shandong, and Hebei provinces and serves as a major petroleum and petrochemical base, home to the Zhongyuan Oilfield headquarters. Several rivers, including the Jindi, Majia, and Wei, cross the surrounding flat alluvial plain. The wider region has connections to UNESCO-listed heritage sites.
