Puyuhuapi
Cisnes · Chile
This small village on the Carretera Austral in Chilean Patagonia, sitting at the head of the Puyuhuapi fjord where the Río Pascal meets the water. Hot springs lie just southwest of the village, and the surrounding fjord and mountain scenery draws those travelling the route south. Founded by Sudeten German settlers alongside Mapuche families from the Chiloé Archipelago, it has an unusual café and restaurant presence for its size, and local workshops produce hand-made jerseys.
