Raireshwar, a historic site in Bhor taluka near Pune in Maharashtra, is where the 16-year-old Chhatrapati Shivaji took his oath to establish Hindavi Swaraj on 27 April 1645, making it a place of deep significance in Maratha history. The fort-era site sits among the Sahyadri hills and holds a Raireshwar temple, two lakes, and caves known as Pandavleni. The area is also noted for its seven-coloured soil, formed from rocks of seven distinct hues, which has drawn geological interest.
