Remoulins
Gard · France
Sitting on the River Gardon in southern France's Gard department, Remoulins is the closest village to the Pont du Gard, the Roman aqueduct that draws visitors to this stretch of the river. The town has a small café and restaurant scene for its size, and the surrounding Gardon gorges fall within two Natura 2000 protected areas. A bridge completed in 1994 crosses the Gardon here, and the iron remains of its 1830 predecessor, built by the Seguin brothers, are still visible on the left bank.
