Ribnica
Slovenia
A compact town in southern Slovenia's Lower Carniola region, Ribnica sits along both banks of the Bistrica river, with the partly restored Ribnica Castle — burned during the Second World War and now housing a crafts museum — standing on the adjacent bank. The town centre runs along the main market street, where the parish church of St. Stephen, a cultural centre, and various local businesses are gathered. A railway station connects Ribnica to Grosuplje and Kočevje.
