Roboré, a modest town in eastern Bolivia's Chiquitos Province, holds the largest concentration of rock art sites in the country, with more than a hundred recorded across the municipality. Founded in 1916 as a waypoint between San José de Chiquitos and Puerto Suárez, it sits on the Santa Cruz–Puerto Suárez railway — part of the Central Bioceanic Rail Corridor — and the same route's highway, making it accessible from Santa Cruz.
