Sangaredi, in Guinea's northwestern Boké prefecture, is a mining town built around one of the world's largest bauxite deposits, notable for its high alumina content. The ore is managed by the Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée and transported by rail to the port of Kamsar. The town sits within sight of mountains and a short drive from water, giving it a rugged highland setting alongside its industrial character.
