Sangju

Sangju, a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, is nicknamed "Three Whites" for its three signature agricultural products — rice, silkworm cocoons, and dried persimmons. One of the oldest cities in the region, it shares its name with Gyeongju as the origin of the "Gyeongsang" provinces, and once served as the administrative capital of Gyeongsang Province in the early Joseon period. The city is also known as a cycling destination, and sits within reach of mountains and several UNESCO World Heritage sites in the wider region.
