Sankt Florian
Austria
Sankt Florian, a small town in Upper Austria a short distance from Linz, is home to St. Florian Monastery — one of the oldest continuously operating Augustinian monasteries in the world. Composer Anton Bruckner, who served as a choirboy and later organist there, is buried beneath the monastery's organ in the monastic church, which was elevated to a basilica minor in 1999. The town also holds a hunting museum, a fire brigade museum, and the open-air museum Sumerauerhof.
