Sierra de La Ventana

Founded in 1908 and named for a nearby rocky peak with a natural window-shaped opening in its face, Sierra de La Ventana is a small village in the southwest of Buenos Aires Province that serves as one of the region's main tourist bases. The surrounding Sierra de la Ventana mountains offer scenic viewpoints, and the village itself has a café and restaurant scene that outpunches its size. The peak was declared a Natural Monument in 1959.
