Stamford

This walkable Lincolnshire market town with five medieval parish churches, a centre dense with listed stone and timber-framed buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, and a strong café and restaurant scene. Stamford is also a frequent film location, and its name was carried to New England when settlers founded Stamford, Connecticut in 1641.
