Sungurlu

A road-stop town in Çorum Province on the main Ankara–Samsun highway, Sungurlu is known among bus travellers as a place to try leblebi — the roasted chickpeas for which the wider Çorum region is famous. An 1891 clock tower stands in the town centre, and the surrounding region holds several UNESCO World Heritage sites.
