Tachov
Plzeňský kraj · Czechia
Tachov, a pocket-sized town in the Plzeň Region of Czechia, sits on the Mže River in hilly terrain and holds one of the best-preserved medieval town wall systems in the country. The historic centre is protected as an urban monument zone and includes Tachov Castle and a riding hall in the Světce district designated as a national cultural monument. The Windisch-Graetz family held the town from 1784, and several UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the wider region.
