Tamsweg

At over 1,000 metres elevation, Tamsweg is the highest-situated district administrative centre in Austria — a little market town in the Salzburg Lungau region, close to the Styrian border, with a compact centre holding cafés, restaurants, and an unusual concentration of historic churches for its size.
