This Valencian town sits where a horseshoe-shaped valley, bordered by mountains on the west, opens onto the Mediterranean coast, giving it both mountain terrain and direct sea access. The largest town in La Valldigna, it received its city title from King Alfonso XIII in 1916 and has a compact centre with cafés and restaurants. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
