Tintagel
TLK30 · United Kingdom
Tintagel, on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall, is the village most closely tied to Arthurian legend: Geoffrey of Monmouth placed the conception of King Arthur at nearby Tintagel Castle, and the site has drawn visitors ever since. The coastal setting is dramatic, with scenic viewpoints over the Atlantic, and the village itself has a heritage-dense centre and a pocket-sized but real café and restaurant scene for a place of its size.
