Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014, the Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Bình Province is Vietnam's first mixed cultural and natural heritage site — and the only such dual-listed site in Southeast Asia. Visitors come for boat tours through cave systems along rivers including the Ngô Đồng and Sào Khê, set among limestone mountains, wetlands, and rice fields. The complex includes Hoa Lư, Tam Cốc–Bích Động, and Bái Đính Pagoda, with archaeological sites and temples tied to four Vietnamese royal dynasties.
