Trang Bang
Vietnam
Trang Bang, a town in Tây Ninh Province in southern Vietnam, is known internationally as the site of the 1972 napalm attack captured in Nick Ut's Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph "The Terror of War," depicting children fleeing the bombing. The town also has a local food tradition built around bánh canh Trảng Bàng, a pork noodle soup, and dew-wetted rice paper served with boiled pork, fresh herbs, and fish sauce. It sits on Highway 22, the trans-Asian route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Phnom Penh.
