A highland city in the central Peloponnese with a walkable centre full of cafés, restaurants, and historic churches, set on a plateau with vineyards in the surrounding countryside and mountains close by. Formerly known as Tripolitsá, it serves as the capital of both the Arcadia regional unit and the wider Peloponnese region, and sits within reach of several UNESCO World Heritage sites in the broader area.
