Vadsø

The administrative centre of Finnmark county, Vadsø sits on the southern shore of the Varanger Peninsula along the Varanger Fjord, with part of the town occupying its own island connected to the mainland by a bridge. The midnight sun is above the horizon from mid-May to late July, followed by polar night from late November to mid-January. Vadsø Church serves as the seat of the Varanger deanery.
