Varadero
Cuba
Cuba's largest resort area, Varadero stretches along the Hicacos Peninsula on the north coast of Matanzas province, with roughly 22 kilometres of white-sand beach fronting the Florida Strait. The town has a walkable centre with cafés and restaurants, and the beach itself has ranked among the world's best in recent years. Common excursions run to nearby Matanzas, Cárdenas, and the Península de Zapata. It is also home to Cuba's only full golf course.
