Vuno

This hillside village on Albania's Ionian coast, Vuno sits above an olive grove that separates it from the sea, with stone-paved lanes and rocky terraces rising around a church of the Panagia built some two centuries ago. Located a few kilometres north of Himarë on the Albanian Riviera road toward Dhërmi, the village is home to an Orthodox Albanian community and has produced a number of writers, historians, and public figures. The crescent-shaped shore at Jal lies nearby.
