Weifang

Known as the "Kite Capital of the World," Weifang is a large city in central Shandong Province with a walkable centre full of cafés and restaurants. Historic sites include the Song dynasty Fangong Pavilion, the late Ming and early Qing Shihu Garden, and dinosaur fossil sites in the Shanwang area of Linqu. The painted New Year woodcuts produced in the Yangjiabu district are also well known. Weifang looks out to Laizhou Bay to the north.
