Yampupata
Bolivia
This compact Bolivian village on the northern tip of the Yampupata Peninsula, sitting on the shore of Lake Titicaca at high elevation and just over a kilometre from Isla del Sol, whose Inca archaeological sites are tied to the origins of Inca mythology. The village serves as a departure point for boat crossings to the island and as a waypoint on the walking route between Isla del Sol and Copacabana.
