A riverside town in Tatarstan, Russia, on the right bank of the Kama River, with cafés and restaurants concentrated in a compact centre. One of the oldest settlements in Tatarstan, Yelabuga received city status in 1780 and celebrated its millennium in 2007, making it a place with a long history on the river, east of Kazan.
