Yuanlikeng

Yuanli Township, on the southwestern edge of Miaoli County in Taiwan, is known as "Miaoli's Granary" — the county's largest rice-producing area, with well-known local brands including Wanli and Shanshuei rice. The township also has a history of sedge-weaving, once a major export industry producing mats and hats; a museum dedicated to that craft tradition opened in the 2000s. Yuanli sits west of Huoyan Mountain, with the Taiwan Strait along its western edge.
