Yusufeli

A small town in Artvin Province where the Çoruh River meets the Barhal, Yusufeli sits in a valley flanked by the Kaçkar Mountains to the north. The surrounding microclimate supports olives, grapes, and citrus. The town has relocated multiple times throughout its history — most recently in 2022, when the construction of the Yusufeli Dam required the centre to move to higher ground to avoid submersion.
