Aguilar de Campoo

A small town in northern Palencia where the River Pisuerga runs through the historic centre, Aguilar de Campoo has an unusually dense concentration of historic churches for its size and a genuine café and restaurant scene. It sits on the St. James' Northern Way pilgrimage route and, since 2017, within the Geopark of Las Loras — the first UNESCO Geopark in Castile and León — with mountain views visible from the town.
