Altrincham

This Greater Manchester market town whose food-and-drink scene centres on a market house granted its charter in 1290, Altrincham draws visitors for its café culture and heritage-dense walkable centre. Nearby Dunham Massey Hall — formerly the seat of the Earl of Stamford, now a visitor attraction with three Grade I listed buildings and a deer park — adds a further reason to make the trip.
