This large city on South Korea's Yellow Sea coast, southwest of Seoul and connected to it by subway, Ansan is known for one of the country's most diverse multicultural communities — the Wongokbon-dong district has been designated a multicultural area, with Russian- and Chinese-speaking communities among the largest, alongside ethnic restaurants and shops.
