Aukštadvaris

This tiny Lithuanian village on the Verknė river in Trakai district, Aukštadvaris is home to Malewski Palace, built in 1837, and a 19th-century manor estate with a park and ponds. An oak tree associated with the poet Adam Mickiewicz stands in the village. The surrounding area falls within a regional park, and UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the wider region.
