Barra de Valizas

A modest Atlantic coast resort in Uruguay's Rocha Department, where the Valizas stream meets the ocean after draining Laguna de Castillos. Despite its hamlet scale, it supports a handful of cafés and restaurants, and its broad beach draws a notably alternative crowd. Route 10 provides the main access.
