Boyabat

A town in Sinop Province's Gökırmak valley, Boyabat sits along the "blue river" at the foot of the Isfendiyar Mountains, roughly midway between the Black Sea coast and the inland city of Kastamonu. A castle above the town makes it a natural stop for travellers heading north to the coast. Boyabat also serves as a regional trade hub for the many villages surrounding it.
