Brorup
Denmark
Brorup, a small railway town in southern Jutland, hosts what is claimed to be northern Europe's largest livestock auction, held on the market square on the western edge of town every Friday throughout the year. The 14th-century Brørup Kirke stands a few kilometres outside the town centre, and the 15th-century Sønderskov manor house nearby holds a regional museum with objects spanning prehistory to the medieval period, including a three-tonne runic stone. Tirslund Stone, Denmark's second-largest boulder, lies a short distance to the west.
