Calvi
Haute-Corse · France
This small Corsican town on the northwest coast with a waterfront setting, a café and restaurant scene that outpaces the town's size, and scenic viewpoints across the Gulf of Calvi. One of the two main towns of the Balagne region, Calvi also carries a local legend that Christopher Columbus was born here during the period of Genoese rule — a claim the man himself may have had reason to obscure.
