This little wine-country village in the Gard, just west of Nîmes, Caveirac sits in the agricultural plains and low hills of the Vaunage, surrounded by extensive vineyards. Its most prominent feature is the Château de Caveirac, a listed historic monument that now serves as the town hall. The commune also contains two other protected buildings: a Roman milestone classified in 1911 and the church of Saint-Adrien, listed in 1972. The wider region includes the Gorges du Gardon and several UNESCO World Heritage sites.
