Çermik district
Diyarbakir · Türkiye
Çermik, a town in Diyarbakır Province in southeastern Türkiye, takes its name from its thermal springs — declared the province's official Thermal Tourism Center in 1993. The springs have drawn visitors for centuries, and the district also holds historical structures from the Artuqid period, including the Haburman Bridge and a historic bathhouse. The town was formerly home to Ziya Gökalp, the Turkish thinker regarded as a founding figure of Turkish nationalism.
