Chilas

This base for reaching Fairy Meadows National Park and Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest peak in the world, Chilas sits on the left bank of the Indus River in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The city lies along the Karakoram Highway and can also be reached via the Babusar Pass through the Kaghan valley, giving it access to some of the region's most dramatic mountain terrain.
