Codognan

A modest village in the Gard department of southern France's Occitanie region, set in wine country and drained by the Rhony river, with a café and restaurant scene and a number of churches that exceed what its size might suggest. The surrounding area falls within a Natura 2000 protected zone — the Costières Nîmoises — and several UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the wider region. Nîmes is the nearest city of scale.
