Owain Glyndŵr connections run through this small Welsh town on the River Dee beneath the Berwyn mountains in Denbighshire. A statue of the Welsh prince on horseback stands in the square, an annual Glyndŵr Day procession has been held each September since 2009, and the remains of Castell Glyndŵr — a motte — lie a short distance to the east. The town also has several historic churches for its size, and sits in the Edeyrnion Valley on the A5 between Llangollen and Bala.
