Llandysilio
TLL41 · United Kingdom
This modest Welsh village in Montgomeryshire, Powys, sitting on the eastern bank of the River Vyrnwy with mountain terrain nearby. Its parish church, dedicated to Saint Tysilio, dates from 1867 but tradition holds that a church was founded on the site in the seventh century, and the circular churchyard suggests the site's antiquity. The community also contains an Iron Age hillfort at Bryn Mawr and the remains of a motte-and-bailey castle at Four Crosses.
