Cuglieri
Oristano · Italy
Small Sardinian hill village in the Montiferru region with an unusual concentration of churches for its size, Cuglieri sits amphitheatre-style on the Bardosu hill above a coastline that includes the natural arch of S'Archittu and the sea-falling waterfall of Cabu Nieddu — described as the only one of its kind in Italy. The village has a history reaching back to the Phoenician-Punic city of Cornus and Roman-era settlement, and produces quality olive oil.
